We all know that basketball players make “BIG money,” but the exact amount will actually shock you. Most of these NBA players are on contracts that are considered to be the maximum-salary. The maximum salary, however, doesn’t necessarily mean that they are paid the whole amount at once. In fact, they usually receive a max in the first year, and then they get a series of identical annual salaries in subsequent years. Some players will also have some added incentives to their salaries, such as a percentage of the trade bonus amount, which is likely to increase their earnings. This, therefore, means that the amount we have capped as their yearly salary is not the exact amount.
